• Individual Therapy & Life Management

Life gets going at a pretty crazy pace these days. Sometimes you need to take a beat and figure out how you’re feeling. We can do that together. I’m here to help you process your past, deal with your present, and plan for your future, if you need that. We can work together to manage the symptoms that are making your life a little tougher than it needs to be.

Your therapist should be the world’s best listener. I am not here to discount or avoid problems, or to fix your issues. I am, however, here to help you see your blind spots. I will never just tell you what you want to hear, but I will, without judgement, pose the questions to spark curiosity about your own beliefs and behaviors. At the end of the day, what you’re likely seeking is change. Maybe you are longing for more meaning in your life. You may want to feel less anxious, less depressed, or to just feel better about yourself. You could be seeking tools and strategies to help you tolerate stress, and frustration. There’s a good chance you just want to stop repeating the same old mistakes again and again. If any of this resonates, bring it here. We can work on that.

  • Accelerated resolution therapy

Quickly find freedom from stress and trauma with Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). This unique and effective therapy is brief and directive. Many clients experience symptom relief within 1 to 5 sessions. It utilizes rapid eye movements in combination with traditional psychotherapy techniques to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain.

While the therapist is in control of the process, you, as the client, are always in control of the content. You can share as much as you like about the traumatic memories, or nothing at all. The process still works, either way.

As a result, those reprocessed memories no longer trigger strong negative emotional and physical responses. ART is recognized as an effective, evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD, stress, depression, and personal resilience. ART has been listed as an approved treatment by the American Psychological Association (APA). It has also been classified as a promising therapy for anxiety, panic, phobias, sleep disorders, and overall general functioning and well-being.

  • Teen Therapy & Psychoeducation

As a parent you may be wondering - does my teen really need counseling? As a teen you may be wondering - why would I ever need counseling? Well sometimes, the answer is obvious, but sometimes, not so much. When teens engage in counseling, they learn how to manage their emotions and deal with stress in a way that is more conducive to running their dynamic, complicated, constantly evolving lives. Our teens today are juggling more than their parents can imagine, or sometimes relate to. Counseling can be the difference between positively handling depression, anxiety, addiction, and anger management, or allowing it to lead you down a pretty tough path. Let’s get ahead of it.

When I was a teen, I wanted someone to just listen to me and be supportive, or at the very least give me some good information about life and the issues I wasn’t comfortable discussing with the other adults in my life. I hear you. We can break it all down in as much detail as you need. Or, you can just use this space as a safe place to let your guard down and vent about all the bullsh*t you’re dealing with every single day.
